Transgender & Gender Diverse Care for Adults
This page offers guidance in finding resources, including how to change legal documents, find affirming providers, and navigate healthcare insurance benefits.
WPATH letters for gender-affirming medical care
If you are preparing to begin hormone therapy or gender-affirming surgery, your physician may require one or two letters from a psychotherapist or psychologist. In addition to providing letters to my long-term clients, I also meet with individuals who are in therapy with another clinician for at least 6 months who need an additional letter from a psychologist. Our assessment would involve one or potentially two sessions, as well as a consultation session between myself and your therapist.
I do not charge an additional fee for writing letters.
